Established Over Twenty-Five Years Ago...
The BlueBox was born in South Africa in 1997, building web-based systems back when Netscape Navigator ruled and a dial-up connection felt lightning fast.
We started out building websites with serious backend power, but we soon saw what businesses really needed: instant access to meaningful, joined-up information. So we grew into full ERP and business intelligence, with one aim: to give businesses of every size the kind of systems only the big players could afford. That thinking took us from Intranext, our first platform, all the way to today’s BlueBox 3.0.
Nearly thirty years on, we’re a software studio that builds bespoke systems for clients around the world and creates products of our own. Along the way we’ve lived through the dot-com bust and the rise of mobile, cloud and now AI. The technology has changed completely. Our habit of adapting early hasn’t.

BlueBox began in South Africa, and in 2010 we opened our UK head office to take our systems into Europe and international markets. Today our team builds for clients on five continents, and we’ve delivered systems for companies including Samsung, Microsoft, Cisco, Brother, Hewlett-Packard, SABMiller, Standard Bank, Old Mutual, Nedbank and Sky.
